US import HDG market still waiting for new action

The US import hot dipped galvanized and Galvalume coil markets are relatively unchanged since our last report a week ago, as most offshore offers have fallen silent in light of the recently filed antidumping and countervailing duty petitions against China, India, Italy, Korea and Taiwan.  Brazilian mills continue to offer Galvalume to the US, but their week-on-week pricing remains unchanged.

Sources close to SteelOrbis continue to report a belief that offshore producers from other countries will soon begin to make offers to the US in hopes of gaining a piece of the marketshare.
