It’s been yet another week without imminent signs that “the sky is about to fall” in terms of a trade case filing, and trader sources have said they’re continuing to breath a bit easier than they were this time last month. “Everyone was worried the DOC was going to keep beating the piñata pretty hard,” according to one Midwest-based trader, “but now the temperature seems to have turned back down a bit.” Futures orders seem to be holding at a “hot idle”, and although some US buyers are still a bit wary of booking tons from India and China, others say they’re not too concerned about booking new orders.
