US domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) prices fell this week.
Offers on CRC dipped $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) ex-mill to the general range of $37.00-$38.00 cwt. ($816-$838/mt or $740-$760/nt) ex-mill. This softening is similar to the price reduction seen in hot rolled coil (HRC) by $1.50 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt) ex-mill.
Chinese offers finally softened by $0.50 cwt. ($11/mt or $10/nt), as sources expected for several weeks now, to the general range of $33.00-$34.00 cwt. ($739-761/mt or $670-$690/nt) DDP loaded truck into US Gulf ports.
As for Indian offers, pricing remained strong after a modest increase last week. Prices remained unchanged in the approximate range of $36.00-$37.00 cwt. ($784-$816/mt or $720-$740/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.
