This week, demand for Turkish flat steel in the export markets is still weak. Demand in the European market - the most important export market for Turkish flat steel - has remained weak due to the ongoing holiday season, while Turkish producers have reduced their prices further in line with the declines seen in global flat steel prices. Turkish suppliers have reduced their hot rolled coil (HRC) export prices by $5/mt during the past week to $375-385/mt FOB. On the other hand, Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers have declined by $10/mt in the same period to $500-505/mt FOB. All prices are for September production.
