Demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market is still slack this week, while prices have remained stable in the same period. At present, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $785-810/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $670-705/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $590-625/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT, and are for February and March production.
Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI traders are having difficulties in concluding sales to the export markets amid weak demand. Turkish PPGI prices have also remained unchanged week on week at $630-670/mt FOB for February production.
