During the past week, demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market has recovered slightly. As a result of the improved demand, hot rolled coil (HRC) and PPGI availability in the domestic market has been characterized by tightness. Meanwhile, local Turkish PPGI prices moved up by an average of $35/mt week on week.
Accordingly, the price of RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI has increased to $960-1,005/mt, with the price of RAL 9002 0.5 mm rising to $810-830/mt and prices of 1 mm RAL 9002 increasing to $700-745/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.
Meanwhile, Turkish mills’ PPGI export quotations have also increased, moving up by $35/mt week on week to $795-825/mt FOB.
