Buyers in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market are still cautious, concluding PPGI purchases only in line with their needs for the third consecutive week. Following the increases seen in prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) - the raw material for PPGI production - over the past week, domestic PPGI quotations have risen by $15/mt week on week. Currently, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $950-1,005/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $800-830/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $690-745/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI export offers have also moved up by $15/mt week on week with the influence of the rises seen in the domestic PPGI market and are currently in the range of $770-805/mt FOB. Buyers in the international markets are still keeping a close eye on the global HRC and coated coil markets, while they continue to make PPGI purchases only in line with their needs.
