During the week ending October 16, Chinese domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices have on average indicated a slight downtrend, while overall transaction activity has remained at low levels. Average HDG prices in the local Chinese market can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.

During the given week, since demand has shown no significant improvement, some traders in the domestic HDG market have chosen to lower their sales prices, though some traders have kept their offer prices stable. In the given week, while Chinese HRC futures prices and HRC prices in the domestic spot market have indicated a rebound, local HDG traders are mostly maintaining a wait-and-see stance. As for the week ahead, it is expected that HDG prices in the Chinese domestic market will fluctuate within a narrow range, with offer price movements likely to vary depending on players' different expectations for the future trend of the HDG market.
