Global nickel prices have indicated minor fluctuations in the past week, and are now slightly higher compared to one week ago. On June 2, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $13,065/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 465,516 mt.
Overall trading activity in the Chinese domestic stainless steel market has been at reasonable levels in the past week, but is unlikely to show any improvement in the coming period. Traders have mostly been keeping their prices stable and are waiting to observe any changes in nickel prices or in the downstream demand volume. As for the coming week, it is believed that domestic stainless steel prices will mostly move sideways.
