During the week ending July 3, Chinese domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices have remained on a stable trend, while transaction activity is still slack. Average HDG prices in the local Chinese market can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.

During the given week, HDG traders have mostly been maintaining a wait-and-see stance and so transaction activity has remained sluggish. As for prospects for the market in July, traders hold various views, with some thinking that HDG prices will move on a strong trend, while others think HDG prices will likely move down. The downward pressure on the market is mainly from sluggish demand, while at the same time the market could see a rebound following the price decreases previously observed. It is expected that HDG prices in the Chinese domestic market will just indicate slight fluctuations in the coming week.
