Stable trend in Chinese domestic CRC market

Wednesday, 25 January 2017 14:08:52 (GMT+3)   |   Shanghai

During the week ending January 25, the Chinese domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market has indicated a stable trend, while transaction activity in the overall market has been at low levels. Average cold rolled product prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.

During the given week, most downstream users have exited the market ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday (January 27-February 2), resulting in quiet transaction activity. It is expected that local CRC prices will continue their stable trend during the holiday, though they will likely indicate a slight uptrend after the holiday as sentiment is upbeat as regards the prospects for the post-holiday market.
