Demand for imported plate in Turkey has remained weak. In the meantime, Ukrainian steel producer Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Bulgaria-based Stomana have maintained their offers levels for Turkey unchanged over the past two weeks. Meanwhile, Ukraine's Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works and Macedonian steelmaker Makstil have increased their plate prices for Turkey by $5-10/mt over the same period.

Currently, steel plate offers to Turkey given by Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works are now standing at $600/mt CFR for May shipments, while Ilyich Iron and Steel Works is offering May output plate to Turkey at the base price level of $590-600/mt CFR. In addition, Makstil's offers are now standing at $715/mt CFR for April shipment and Stomana's offers are at the base price level of €500/mt ($650/mt) CFR for April deliveries.
