China's domestic stainless steel market has mostly moved sideways in the past week, though with some slight downticks in prices also seen.
Global nickel prices are now slightly higher compared to one week earlier. On September 29, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $9,875/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 451,500 mt.
Overall trading activity in the Chinese domestic stainless steel market has remained sluggish in the past week, though traders generally do not want to change their prices due to the National Day Holiday (October 1-7). It is thought that the market will mostly continue its stable trend in the week after the holiday.
