China's domestic stainless steel market has seen some fluctuations in prices during the past seven days, while some prices have also remained stable. Overall trading activity in the market has been sluggish.
Global nickel prices have moved on an upward trend during the past week. On April 28, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $13,445/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 442,950 mt.
Prices of some stainless steel products have softened slightly due to the low trading volume, while prices of some 304 series products have increased slightly, though prices of some other 304 series products have moved sideways. As for the coming week, it is expected that stainless steel prices may rise slightly and then move sideways.
