During the week ending May 21, Chinese export offers of flat steel products have followed a slight downtrend. At present, boron-added hot rolled coil (HRC) export offers given by Chinese suppliers are at $360-370/mt FOB, while cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers given by Chinese suppliers are at $410-420/mt FOB.

During the given week, demand for Chinese flat steel in the export market has been on the slack side, exerted negative pressure on prices. Accordingly, in actual transactions, there has been room for negotiation on prices.
