SteelOrbis has learned that the slowness of flat steel demand has influenced Russian steel mills' export offers. Accordingly, Russian steelmaker Severstal's export offers have decreased by $30-35/mt as compared to last month.

Severstal's May production hot rolled coil (HRC) offers from its mill 1700 to the export markets now stand at the level of $590/mt FOB St. Petersburg, while the producer's HRC offers from its mill 2000 to the export markets are at $595/mt FOB St. Petersburg.

In the meantime, Severstal's May production cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers are standing at $670/mt FOB St. Petersburg.
