Severstal NA announces price increase for carbon steel products

Severstal NA Monday announced that due to recently announced increases for raw materials and due to "recent short-term price adjustments due to a supply/demand imbalance", that they have moved to revise their pricing "in line with the current market direction".

Effective with all new orders to be shipped September 6 and later, transaction pricing for hot rolled coils (HRC) and cold rolled coils (CRC) will be increased by $3.00 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt), while hot dipped galvanized (HDG), Galvalume, and EG will be increased by $4.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt).
