During the given week, common carbon medium steel plate prices have indicated a rising trend, with Shanghai seeing larger rises compared to other regions, resulting in better activities. At the beginning of October, some steelmakers, including Jiangxi Province-based PXSteel Industrial Co. and Guangxi Province-based Liuzhou Iron and Steel Group have increased their ex-w prices for steel plate, pushing up steel plate offer prices on spot market. Meanwhile, market players have been more optimistic towards prospect for the future market when entering into October. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely edge up slightly in the coming week.
