Russian mills’ HRC export offers soften slightly compared to last month

SteelOrbis has learned from market insiders that Russian producers' May rolling hot rolled coil (HRC) export offers have decreased slightly as compared to last month's offers.
 
Last month, Russian mills' HRC export offers were considered to be on the high side and so the producers had to cut their offers in order to conclude deals. This month, the mills' offer levels are currently higher than last month' transaction range. Last month, Russian mill Severstal had sold HRC to the US generally at the level of $610/mt FOB. This producer's new export offers for HRC are at $635/mt FOB St. Petersburg.
 
On the other hand, MMK's HRC export offers have indicated a softening of $10/mt and are currently at $630/mt FOB Black Sea.
