Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) spot market has remained slack this week, just like in the previous week. Meanwhile, Turkish producers’ CRC prices have remained stable in the past week in the range of $700-720/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, for June production, in line with the sideways movement of Turkish produces’ hot rolled coil (HRC) prices against the backdrop of decreasing prices of raw material and finished steel in China.

Meanwhile, CRC prices of traders in the Eregli region have decreased by $10/mt, while CRC quotations of traders in the Gebze region have remained unchanged, both week on week.

Currently, traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

710-715

745-755

0.7-2 mm CRC

650-670

710-720

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for May delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
