According to market sources, demand in the local pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market in Turkey is still weak, while prices have decreased further by another $10/mt over the past week. Meanwhile, buyers are still postponing their purchases except for immediate needs. At present, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $755-770/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $640-665/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $575-600/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT, and are for October production.
Meanwhile, demand for Turkish PPGI is also slack in the export markets, while buyers continue to postpone their bookings. Turkish PPGI export offer prices have decreased by $30/mt on the upper end week on week to $640-660/mt FOB for October production.
