Demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market has improved slightly over the past two weeks, but it is still on the weak side. With domestic prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) - the raw material for PPGI production – moving upwards by $12.5/mt in the given period, Turkish PPGI producers have increased their prices. Accordingly, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $870-915/mt, up $60/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $720-740/mt, up $50/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $620-665/mt, up $60/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish export prices for 0.5 mm PPGI have increased by $65/mt over the past two weeks to $700-740/mt FOB, while demand for Turkish PPGI has decreased slightly following the price hike and it is still at weak levels.
