Although prices in the Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market have declined by approximately $55/mt in total in late January and early February, demand has failed to show signs of improvement. Domestic and export offers for Turkish PPGI have trended sideways since last week, while demand is weak both at home and abroad.

Turkish mills' offers for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are now standing at $1,040-1,110/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $900-940 /mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $820-865/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.
