Turkish buyers' demand for imported plate has not improved in the past week. Ex-Macedonia plate offers to Turkey have indicated a decrease of $15/mt as compared to last week, while Bulgarian mill Stomana is expected to announce its new price offers next week.

Currently, steel plate offers to Turkey given by Ukrainian steel producer Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works are still standing at $590-595/mt CFR for September production, while another Ukrainian mill Ilyich Iron & Steel Works is offering September output plate to Turkey at the base price level of $600/mt CFR. In addition, Macedonian mill Makstil's offers are now at $750/mt CFR for September rolling.
