Mexico’s flats export prices increase following domestic trend

A source told SteelOrbis that local steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) has increased the price of flats in the export market, following a $27/mt price increase in the domestic flats market within the past two weeks. 

A Mexican trader based in Mexico City said AHMSA is exporting CRC at $450/mt, FOB Mexican port. HRC exports are said to be reaching $370/mt, same conditions, while heavy plate export prices are reaching $400/mt, FOB Mexican port.
