Mexican HRC prices fell US$7/mt in the last two weeks to settle at US$723/mt ex-mill.

Prices reflect a slight decline over the past two weeks, although industry sources continue to have optimism that demand for flat steel will increase.

HRC producers are encouraged by the recent forecast from the World Steel Association, which indicates North American steel demand will show a 6.4 percent increase in steel demand in 2014.
