Mexican domestic hot dipped galvanized (HDG) prices fell US$5/mt in the last two weeks to reach
US$933/mt ex-mill.

The drop was much smaller during this period than previously, and industry sources expect the price trend to stabilize for the second half of the year.

Souces tell SteelOrbis that the factors that have made Mexico attractive for the automotive industry stand out among others. For instance, the integration with the original production segment represents a network of auto parts suppliers, enabling efficient cost savings derived from inventories for transport and delivery times, to name a few.
