Demand in the Turkish domestic steel plate spot market has remained slack during the past two weeks, while prices in the market have increased by $80/mt on average amid the uptrend of hot rolled coil (HRC) prices. However, the new domestic HRC price levels are considered to be on the high side and have failed to gain acceptance from buyers, according to market sources.
SteelOrbis has learned that traders' prices for stock material St37 grade steel plate in Turkey's Gebze and Eregli regions for May deliveries are as follows:
Thickness x width | Price ($/mt) | |
Gebze | Eregli | |
4-12 mm x 1,500 mm | 570-580 |
|
15-40 mm x 1,500 mm | 580-600 | 560-580 |
15-40 mm x 2,000 mm | 610-630 | 600-605 |
The above prices are ex-warehouse and for advance payments, exclusive of 18 percent VAT.
