Demand in the Turkish domestic steel plate spot market has remained slack during the past two weeks, while prices in the market have increased by $80/mt on average amid the uptrend of hot rolled coil (HRC) prices. However, the new domestic HRC price levels are considered to be on the high side and have failed to gain acceptance from buyers, according to market sources.
