Local Turkish CRC prices move sideways

Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has remained weak during the past week. As flat steel prices have remained under downward pressure, buyers believe that CRC prices will see further declines and so they have continued to postpone their purchases. Turkish steel producers’ domestic CRC prices have remained unchanged week on week at $600-620/mt ex-works.

Meanwhile, Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are at the following levels:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

660-680

670-700

0.7-2 mm CRC

630-650
