Local Turkish CRC prices likely to move up in short term

During the past week, demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has continued to remain sluggish, with buyers making purchases only in line with their needs. Given improved hot rolled coil export sales and rising raw material prices, Turkish producers have been preparing to increase their domestic flat rolled product prices. Accordingly, domestic CRC prices are expected to move upwards in the short term. Meanwhile, domestic CRC prices in the local Turkish market have remained stable week on week at $630-650/mt ex-works.

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for February delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
