Local Turkish CRC market moves on sideways trend

Demand received by domestic producers in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has remained slack this week, since buyers have continued to postpone their purchases ahead of the Feast of Sacrifice holiday. Turkish CRC producers, who had increased their prices last week in line with the uptrend of local producers’ hot rolled coil (HRC) prices, have maintained their prices unchanged this week in the range of $500-550/mt ex-works due to the sideways trend of producers’ HRC prices. Meanwhile, traders’ prices have also remained stable week on week due to the weakness of trading activity and weak demand in the spot market.

Currently, traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

570-590

580-600
