Local Turkish CRC market moves on rising trend

Over the past week, prices in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market have increased by $20/mt to $700-720/mt ex-works, supported by the ongoing upward movement of flat steel prices in the global market. However, Turkish buyers consider the new prices to be on the high side and are cautious about making new CRC bookings, preferring just to monitor the market.

Meanwhile, Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local spot market have also increased by $20/mt week on week at the following levels:

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for September delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
