SteelOrbis has been informed that the local prices for HRC in the Syrian market are at $500/mt ex-warehouse, whereas prices for HDG of 0.50-1.0 mm thickness and 100 gr/m² zinc coating stand at $825-850/mt ex-warehouse with three-month deferred payment.
It is reported that Chinese origin offers for 0.50-1.0 mm thickness and 100 gr/m² zinc coated material are at around the level of $750/mt CFR Syria for late November shipment.
The price level in the local Syrian flats market has been maintaining its downtrend, while demand in this country is still at low levels. Although stocks in Syria are not at high levels, the option of import purchases is not being taken into consideration yet.
HRC prices in this country have declined by an average of $100/mt compared to last month. On the other hand, HDG prices have declined by an average of $200/mt compared to the same period.
