During the week ending November 28, pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) quotations in the Chinese domestic market have indicated a slight downtrend for thick specifications, while remaining on a stable trend for thin specifications, with overall transaction activity still at poor levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.

During the given week, buyers from downstream industries only made sporadic purchases, resulting in slack transaction activity. The capacity utilization rates of PPGI producers are at low levels amid a lack of sufficient orders. Recently, PPGI export volumes have declined, resulting in negative pressure on the domestic market. It is expected that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will follow a downward movement in the coming week.
