Chinese stockists and traders have revised their stainless steel offers upward after the price increase announcements made by Chinese steelmakers TISCO and Baosteel against the backdrop of rising nickel prices. Accordingly, Far Eastern suppliers' offers to Turkey for prime quality ready stock 304/2B stainless steel CRC of 2.0 mm thickness are now ranging at $2,900-3,000/mt CIF Istanbul, indicating an approximate increase of $400-500/mt as compared to price levels recorded in early May.
