Import steel slab offers from Russia have moved down from $480-500/mt CFR depending on the mill to $465-480/mt CFR for November-December shipments. There has been information about a deal to an integrated steel producer at $475/mt CFR for around 20,000-30,000 mt of slab, but it has not been confirmed by the time of publication.

While the offers from Russia remain the cheapest in the market, Asian origins are considered quite pricey. Ex-Indonesia material is offered at $525/mt CFR and $5/mt discounts seem possible in a firm negotiation. However, no deals have been reported yet.

Ex-Malaysia offers are at $530-535/mt CFR, basically in line with the levels of two weeks ago.
