Demand for imported plate in the Turkish market has declined slightly over the past two weeks but is still at medium levels. Market sources state that Turkish buyers are cautious about concluding transactions against the backdrop of the increased strength of the US dollar against the Turkish lira. Over the past two weeks Ukrainian plate offers to Turkey have remained unchanged at $540-560/mt CFR for May production, while Macedonian plate offers to the same destination have also moved sideways in the same period in the range of $640-650/mt CFR for June shipment.
