Import plate demand in Turkey is still slack, while import offers to Turkey have remained stable since last week.
Currently, steel plate offers to Turkey given by Ukraine-based Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works are standing at $550/mt CFR, while another Ukrainian producer Ilyich Iron & Steel Works is offering plate to Turkey at the base price level of $550/mt CFR - both for shipments in November. In addition, Macedonia-based Makstil's offers are standing at $760-770/mt CFR Turkey for October deliveries.
