Import offers increase in the Turkish plate market

Plate offers given to Turkey from both European and CIS countries have continued to increase since last month. Some European mills' plate offers to Turkey have reached the level of $900/mt CFR.
 
In the middle of the last week, Donetsk's plate offers were standing at the levels of $670-680/mt FOB. SteelOrbis has heard from market sources that Donetsk, having concluded sales at these levels, has increased its offers of commercial grade plates to the export markets to the level of $710/mt FOB for its remaining allocation. Traders' plate offers for to Turkey were last week at the range of $705-715/mt CFR, and, after the new prices of Donetsk, traders' offers have shown an increase. Traders' offers for Donetsk's new production are expected to be at $750/mt CFR.
 
Plate offers given from Europe have also shown an increase. Bulgarian producer Stomana's plate offers to Turkey are standing at the level of €600/mt CFR, while Macedonian producer Makstil's plate offers have increased to the range of $890-900/mt CFR at the end of last week. ArcelorMittal Galati has concluded sales at the effective price level of $800/mt CFR. Prime grade stock material offers given from Italy have risen to $890/mt CFR.
