Demand for imported hot rolled plate (HRP) in Turkey has seen some improvement as consumption has increased, while imported HRP offers from Ukraine to Turkey have increased by $20/mt month on month. However, the decreasing trends in the global steel market seem to have limited the upward movement of ex-Ukraine HRP offers to Turkey despite the decent demand.
Hot rolled plate offers from Ukraine to the Turkish market are at $540-560/mt CFR for April production, while offers from Romania and Macedonia for the same product are at $550-560/mt CFR for April production and at $660-670/mt CFR for May shipment, respectively.
