HRC prices stable in Egypt, import prices decline

Egyptian producer EZDK's HRC offers to its domestic market have shown no change as compared to two weeks ago and are currently standing at the level of EGP 2,650/mt ex-works on actual weight basis. Meanwhile, HRC offers given by another Egyptian producer, Hadisolb, to the local market are currently standing at EGP 2,750/mt ex-works on actual weight basis, also indicating no change as compared to two weeks ago.

As for the export market, HRC offers given by EZDK are in the range of $370-400/mt FOB, while 0.5 mm 120 gr/m² HDG offers given by Kandil are at $600/mt FOB.

On the other hand, looking at the import side, HRC offers given from Ukraine to Egypt are at the level of $360-370/mt CFR Egypt for May production, indicating a $10/mt decrease compared to two weeks ago. With regard to May production HRC offers given from Russia, prices have decreased by $20/mt as compared to two weeks ago and currently stand at $390-395/mt CFR Egypt.
