SteelOrbis has been informed that demand for hot rolled coil (HRC) in the North African market has been weak during the past two weeks, though the volume of inquiries in the market has increased. Ex-CIS HRC offers to North African countries have moved down by $5/mt over the same period amid negotiations to the range of $365-370/mt FOB. Market sources state that inquiries are expected to lead to deals in the coming week as demand is foreseen to increase.
