In the Egyptian flat steel market, which has remained weak, domestic flat steel producer EZDK is currently offering hot rolled coil (HRC) to the export markets at the level of $610/mt FOB. EZDK's domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) offers were announced at the beginning of the current month at EGP 4,200/mt ($704/mt) ex-works.

In Tunisia, the flat steel market is very sluggish and price levels have remained unchanged from last week. Major Russian steel producers are offering HRC to the Tunisian market in the price range of $670-685/mt CFR, while their CRC offers are at $760-775/mt CFR. It is also learned that Russian steel producer NLMK is now fully booked for December production, while the other major Russian producers will also offer for January production in the coming days. In addition, SteelOrbis has learned that the most competitive offers to the Tunisian market are given by European mills, and also that a significant tonnage of cold rolled coil has entered the Tunisian market.
