Demand in the Spanish flat steel market is slack. While market players are still in holiday mode this week, demand is expected to increase in following weeks. Meanwhile, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the local Spanish market have decreased by €10/mt ($11/mt) to €360-370/mt ($407-418/mt) ex-warehouse over the past month, excluding 21 percent VAT, and for September deliveries. In addition, import HRC offers in Spain have decreased by €10/mt ($11/mt) month on month to €340-350/mt ($384-396/mt) CIF, for September shipments.
