China's domestic
stainless steel market has mostly moved on a stable trend during the past week, though with some small downticks also seen for certain products.
Global nickel prices have continued their fluctuating trend in the past week, with prices now slightly higher than they were one week earlier. On January 20, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $14,780/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 418,062 mt.
In the Chinese domestic
stainless steel market, while traders are generally keeping their quotations stable, they are ready to give some discounts in actual transactions. Overall trading activity is slack and is unlikely to improve due to the approach of the Chinese New Year. For the short-term period, Chinese domestic
stainless steel prices will likely continue their stable trend or just see some minor fluctuations.
