According to market sources, demand in the local pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market in Turkey has remained sluggish during the past week. Currently, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are standing at $875-905/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $760-790/mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $695-725/mt, indicating a decline of $10/mt on the lower end compared to last week. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT, and are for March production.
On the other hand, ex-Turkey PPGI offers have declined by $20/mt on the lower end week on week to the range of $750-790/mt FOB for March production.
