SteelOrbis has learnt from market sources that some Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil producers have raised their domestic prices by $10-15/mt compared to last week but the new price range has not reflected in market prices yet. Meanwhile, demand still continues to improve in the Turkish HDG market.

In the Turkish domestic market, local producers' current HDG sales prices are as follows:

Product

Price ($/mt)

HDG   0.50 mm  100gr/m²

765-800

HDG   1 mm  100gr/m²

715-745

HDG   2 mm  100gr/m²

695-725

The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.

On the other hand, demand had started to improve in the Turkish HDG export market last week and has continued to improve. The price increases already recorded in the domestic market have not been reflected in the target export markets due to the lower offers from China and India.

Weekly price movements of different steel products in major markets can be viewed comparatively in the SteelOrbis Historical Steel Prices section. Market trends can thus be seen more clearly, while desired charts can be created and used in reports or presentations.
