Foreign demand for Turkish flat steel products has slowed down following the conclusion of export transactions during the week. After this week's bookings, the export price for hot rolled coil (HRC) has increased by about $5-10/mt, while export prices for other flat steel products have remained unchanged. The slowdown in demand is considered to be normal given Ramadan and seasonal factors, while Turkish flat steel producers are content with the volume of received orders. In the meantime, demand is expected to improve after Ramadan.

Currently, export offers from Turkey for HRC are at $610-620/mt FOB, while cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers are standing at $740-750/mt FOB. In addition, ex-Turkey offers for hot dip galvanized (HDG) coils are at $810-820/mt and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) export offers are at $920-940/mt, both ex-works.
