According to market sources, demand for flat steel imports in Turkey has remained sluggish, declining further compared to last week against the backdrop of the increased strength of the US dollar against the Turkish lira. Moreover, Turkish buyers are reluctant to conclude transactions in line with their needs for June and July deliveries, and so demand for imports is on the low side.

Russian hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have decreased by $5/mt during the past week to $385-395/mt CFR and $475-495/mt CFR, respectively. Meanwhile, Ukrainian HRC and CRC offers to the same destination have remained unchanged in the same period in the range of $375-385/mt CFR and $465-475/mt CFR, respectively.
