During the week ending May 5, Chinese domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices have indicated stable movement. Overall transaction activity in the market has been at decent levels. Average HDG prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, although domestic CRC prices have softened, local HDG prices in China have indicated stable movement as traders in the HDG market have adopted a cautious stance. In addition, HDG supplies have been on the short side in the spot market, providing a certain degree of support for HDG prices. It is thought that HDG prices in the Chinese domestic market will indicate slight downticks in the coming week.
